Bio

JUAN FELIPE BOTERO received the B.S. degree in computer science from the University of Antioquia, Medellín, Colombia, in 2006, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in telematics engineering from the Network Engineering Department, Technical University of Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain, in 2008 and 2013, respectively. Since 2013, he has been an Assistant Professor with the Telecommunications Engineering Department, University of Antioquia, where he is currently with the Applied Telecommunications Research Group. His current research interests include the Internet of the future, in particular network virtualization, mathematical programming, routing, energy efficiency and network flows, SDN, and NFV.
